WHO WE ARE
NEPES (Noorjahan Eco & People Enrichment Society) is a humanitarian and socio-economic development organization working in Bangladesh since 1972, immediately after the liberation war that cost 3 million lives, making 10 million people homeless and huge loss of country’s infrastructure. Deeply moved by seeing the miseries of the war affected nation, Reverend Paul Munshi founded CSS to revive new hope and aspiration among the dispirited people of this country. Even in early days, when Bangladesh was basically an aid dependent country, our Founder Chairman focused on the importance of skill development training in order to create employment and livelihood opportunities.
WHAT WE DO
NEPES (Noorjahan Eco & People Enrichment Society) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), registered with NGO Affairs Bureau, working in multi sectors such as disaster response, primary and secondary health care, formal & non-formal education, technical and vocational education, micro enterprise development, women empowerment & gender equality, water & sanitation, child care homes & orphanages, child labor & trafficking, HIV/AIDs etc. The overall purpose of the organization is to lift the marginalized population out of the cycle of poverty and envisions a society free from discrimination and injustice where men and women equally contribute to the overall development process.

It has been a long journey of CSS since it all started right after the Liberation war with the rehabilitation of the war victims. Through thick and thin the organization has evolved into a strong unit that is committed to bring positive changes in the lives and livelihood of millions of people who are living below poverty line.
The year 2022 marks the “Golden Jubilee” of CSS as an organization. As we reach to this key milestone of 50 years, we look back with thanksgiving to God and to all those who have been an integral part of our accomplishments. It has been a privilege to be a part of a team that is fully focused on to respond to any human crisis. As we embark on the next phase of our journey, we express our sincere gratitude to the many sponsors, donors and partners who have faithfully supported our work throughout these years.
